Números em Inglês
É muito importante e útil aprender os números em inglês. Você pode informar sua idade, preços, número de telefone, dar seu endereço ou alguma outra informação pessoal. É necessário também prestar atenção na terminologia de cada número, por exemplo, 16 (sixteen) e 60 (sixty) possuem sons parecidos que precisam de cuidado na hora da pronúncia.

Então vamos começar pelos números cardinais em inglês:
Números cardinais em inglês
Números 1 to 10
Em inglês, para falar seu número de telefone são utilizados os número de 0 a 10, ou seja, você pronuncia um por um.
Ex: What is your cellphone number?
It’s 98852467. (It’s nine-eight-eight-five-two-four-six-seven) ou você pode dizer double eight ao invés de eight-eight.
Obs: Quando seu número de telefone tiver o número 0, você pode pronunciar como “oh” também.

Números 11 – 19
Os números do 13 ao 19 terminam em teen. A pronúncia mais forte é na parte final do número.

Números 20 – 99
Os número decimais como 20, 30, 40 terminam em ty, uma pronúncia mais curta e rápida. No quadro abaixo, a sequência dos números 21 ao 29 seguem a mesma lógica para os números a partir do 30, por exemplo, o número 33 fica thirty-three.

Números acima de 100
O número 100 pode ser falado de duas formas: one hundred ou a hundred, ambas são bastante utilizadas.

| 600 – six hundred |
| 700 – seven hundred |
| 800 – eight hundred |
| 900 – nine hundred |
Os números a partir do 100 são pronunciados primeiro a centena, dezena e o depois o cardinal.
Exemplos:
- 101 – one hundred (and) one.
- 180 – one hundred (and) eighty.
- 250 – two hundred (and) fifty.
- 493 – four hundred (and) ninety-three.
- 765 – seven hundred (and) sixty-five.
- 999 – nine hundred (and) ninety-nine.

Agora, vamos ver algumas observações:
– Quando pronunciamos years (anos) é dividido em pares:
Ex: 1993 (nineteen ninety-three)
2018 (twenty eighteen)
1990 (nineteen ninety)
– Anos terminados em 00, acrescenta-se hundred:
Ex: 1500 (fifteen hundred)
1800 (eighteen hundred)
Números Ordinais
Os números ordinais são usados para datas, ordens, posições e sequências. A pronúncia é bem mais fácil que no português, apenas o último número é escrito com a forma ordinal.
Exemplos:
- 6th – sixth
- 27th – twenty-seventh
- 144th – a hundred forty-fourth

Forma abreviada
Para abreviar os números ordinais em inglês são utilizadas as últimas duas letras de cada número:
Exemplos:
- 52nd – fifty-second
- 76th – seventy-sixth
- 100th – one hundredth
Uso em datas
Os números ordinais também são usados para dizer as datas em inglês. Lembrando que em inglês, o mês vem primeiro e depois o dia.
Exemplos:
- January 20th – January, twentieth
- April 3rd – April, third
- June 28th – June, twenty-eighth
